A Sanctuary by the Sea
"The sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in its net of wonder forever." – Jacques Cousteau

Perched on the East Coast Road, with expansive views of the sea and sky, Thalassa is a 2,300 sq.ft haven that blends Mediterranean serenity with Scandinavian design. This home celebrates nature and the surrounding beauty through a refined fusion of style, offering a peaceful escape in the rhythm of the waves.
The sea isn’t merely a view—it’s an essence woven into the space. The palette reflects the ocean’s blues and greys, paired with earthy tones that mirror the sands. Every element—from the cane, wood, and stone furnishings to the muted colors—creates a harmonious dialogue between interior and exterior. The simplicity in the design fosters calm, ensuring that no detail detracts from the peaceful atmosphere.

"Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication." – Leonardo da Vinci

With a minimalist approach, the furniture is purposeful yet subtle. The living room, bathed in natural light, becomes the heart of the home. An antique console rests against a blue wall, evoking a forgotten treasure from the shore. The custom terrazzo table brings an earthy touch, surrounded by Hans Wegner’s iconic wish-bone chairs, which invite casual conversation and relaxation.
The dining area continues this narrative of minimalist elegance, highlighted by a handmade cane light that adds a modern, playful edge. In the bedroom, the tranquil blue walls echo the calming ocean outside, seamlessly blending the horizon with the room’s serene interior. Eclectic hanging lights provide a subtle focal point, balancing simplicity with style. The second bedroom, designed as a cozy retreat, features a lounge chair with a view of the sea, inviting moments of stillness and reflection.

The bedrooms feature graceful cane accents—headboards, wardrobes, and touches that enhance the space’s warmth and texture. Upholstered seating in grey and dark blues complements the surrounding tones, while the AV room, designed with wood, whites, and blues, offers a sanctuary for relaxation. Plants in every corner breathe life into the space, reinforcing the connection to nature.
The fluidity of the design extends beyond the living areas, with glass doors that seamlessly connect the AV room to the swimming pool, inviting the outside in. The kitchen, pristine in white with splashes of blue, fosters an environment for culinary creativity, while custom-made elements ensure the space feels intimate and carefully curated.
Thalassa is more than a home—it’s a reflection of the sea itself, from its serene beauty to its raw power. A space where nature’s rhythm becomes yours, each room a quiet conversation with the horizon.
