A Symphony of Wood and Art
In the heart of an evolving neighborhood, where time and memory converge, stands Sam's Villa—a bold transformation of a once-dated duplex into a modern masterpiece. The house, aged with grace and brimming with potential, was ready for a rebirth, one that would honor its history while embracing the new.
The renovation journey was one of careful reinvention. The home’s original pillars and intimate bathroom spaces were preserved, offering a nod to the past. But everything else—walls, layouts, and rooms—were reshaped to create a fluid dialogue between the spaces. On the lower level, the living room, bar, lounge, dining, and semi-open kitchen engage with each other like close companions, free from the constraints of partitions. They flow effortlessly from one to the next, as if speaking in a common language, inviting conversation and connection.
The upper level holds the private realms of the home—the three bedrooms and a family room—where intimacy meets the art of living. Here, every corner echoes the wishes of its owners: a sophisticated refuge adorned with warmth and personality.
At the front, a dramatic elevation emerges—two balconies at different depths, stretching into the sky as if to frame the house’s story in bold strokes. It’s not just an extension of space; it’s an invitation to pause, to look up, to feel the pulse of the villa’s new life.
The soul of this home beats in its woodwork—an ode to the clients’ passion for natural materials and their reverence for the timeless beauty of wood. The interiors pulse with rich, warm hues, where each piece of art, each texture, each surface tells a tale. The clients, well-traveled and avid collectors of the world’s stories, have left their mark throughout. Their art—brimming with culture and emotion—dances in harmony with the home’s design, infusing it with an energy that’s both modern and timeless.
Every element of Sam’s Villa—from the careful interplay of light and shadow to the use of texture and form—was designed to celebrate the connection between space and soul. It is a home where every corner, every curve, every fixture invites you to stay, to reflect, to engage.
