A Still Life Suspended in Water and Light
"The sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in its net of wonder forever."
— Jacques Cousteau
High above the pulsating heart of Mumbai, where the sky begins to blush with the ocean’s reflection, a rare haven rises — Aurelune. Named to evoke the golden hush of dawn (aure) and the quiet pull of the moon (lune), this timeless duplex dwelling stretches across the 21st and 20th floors — every element crafted like poetry suspended above the Arabian Sea.
You enter on the 21st floor — a wide, open expanse where living, dining, and bar meld into one fluid space. The palette here is pared back, whispering calm — tactile linens, warm wood, brushed metals — allowing the sea’s theater beyond to take center stage. Here, the architecture listens rather than speaks. The kitchen, both efficient and artful, is tucked yet open. Two more bedrooms on this level complete the symmetry, each with quiet detailing echoing the rhythm of waves. Every edge, every joinery, every corner of Aurelune has been contemplated. There is no excess, yet nothing is missing.
From the heart of this living space, a staircase leads down to the 20th floor, where the experience shifts to one of quiet reverence. This level houses the master bedroom, a guest bedroom, and an intimate AV room — all gazing east, west, and south onto the sea, where light refracts endlessly across gently curved windows and soft, sand-hued walls. Each bed is oriented like a compass needle toward the waves, allowing the sea to be the last sight before sleep and the first upon waking. The bathroom too, framed in subtle stone and glass, offers an uninterrupted vista — bathing becomes a ritual of immersion in nature’s horizon.

A second staircase from the 21st floor spirals upward — a private path to the terrace above. There, the world unfolds in its fullest scope — the endless sea surrounding you on all sides. This is not merely an outdoor space, but an aerie, a floating observatory where the sky meets the water in a near-celestial silence.
At Aurelune, Mumbai’s luxury is redefined — not in gold or glamour, but in air, light, and boundless sea.
This is not just a home — it is an ode to the eternal, a modern interpretation of classic elegance, where space is not filled but refined, and every room is a lens through which to view the infinite.
